FAQs

What are your standard Check-In and Check-Out times?

Check-In: 2:00 PM onwards

Check-Out: Before 11:00 AM

Can we request an early check-in or late check-out? We always try our best to accommodate creative schedules! However, because priority is strictly given to incoming and paying guests, early arrivals or late departures are subject to room availability and a minimal hourly fee. Please coordinate with our team 24 hours in advance.

Do you have a “Quiet Hours” policy?

Yes. To protect the peaceful sanctuary vibe of our Nests, we observe strict Quiet Hours from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM. Low-ambient music and intimate conversations in common areas are absolutely welcome, but we kindly ask all guests—including our residential artists—to respect the rest of others.

SlowBurn Wednesdays

I am not a staying guest. Can I still attend SlowBurn Wednesday?

Currently, SlowBurn Wednesday is by invite only. All checked-in guests automatically are invited to SlowBurn Wednesday, our random mid-week culture and community activity held at MiraNamin Nest (Quezon City).

What can I expect at a SlowBurn Session, and do I need a reservation?

Expect a deeply intimate evening of live acoustic music, local culture, cold beers, and fresh barbecue.

  • Time: 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM on the occasional Wednesday.
  • Entry: By invite only
  • Reservations: Seating is limited and intimate, on a first-come, first-served basis

Bookings, Payments, & Cancellations

What are your payment terms to secure a Nest?

BOOK DIRECT: To officially block your dates and lock in your sanctuary, we require full payment upon booking. We accept major credit cards.

BOOK VIA AIRBNB: AirBNB has more flexible payment options, but booking through there is a bit more expensive.

What is your pet policy?

We are passionate animal lovers and consider pets part of the family! Your furry companions are warmly welcome at most of our Nests. To keep all guests and our resident animals safe, we just ask for a few courtesies:

  • The Essentials: Pets must be fully house-trained, up-to-date on vaccinations and anti tick and flea medication, and kept on a leash when exploring shared common areas.
  • Heads Up: Please inform us upon booking so we can prepare your room. A minimal pet cleaning fee per stay applies.
  • Respect the Wildlife: Especially at our Subic Nests, please keep a close eye on smaller pets when hanging out on the balconies, as our wild forest neighbors (like the monkeys) are highly curious!

Can I cook at my Nest?

Yes, absolutely! Cooking is a core part of the “slow living” experience we love to foster. Every Nest features a fully equipped private kitchen or access to a beautifully styled shared kitchen, complete with a stove, refrigerator, cookware, dinnerware, and basic condiments.

We pre-stock your kitchen with your complimentary breakfast ingredients so you can whip up your morning meals whenever you wake up. We only ask a simple “Clean As You Go” policy to keep the spaces beautiful and prevent attracting local forest critters.

How do I get to my Nest in Subic?

Getting to our Nests in Subic is an easy, scenic 2 to 2.5-hour road trip from Metro Manila:

By Car (From Metro Manila)

Take the NLEX seamlessly into the SCTEX, exiting directly into the Subic Bay Freeport Zone (SBFZ) via Tipo Gate. From the gate, follow the main highway and go right (towards Royal Duty Free) for Sangley Nests, and left (towards Camayan) for all other Nests.

  • Waze/Google Maps: Simply pin your specific Nest name (which we will send directly to your Viber/WhatsApp upon booking confirmation) for exact turn-by-turn navigation.

Here is the exact public transportation guide to seamlessly add to your Subic instructions.

By Public Commute (From Metro Manila)

Step 1: Take the Bus to Olongapo

Head to any major terminal in Manila (Cubao, Pasay, Caloocan, or Sampaloc) and board a provincial bus line—Victory Liner and Genesis Transport are the two primary and most reliable carriers.

  • The Insider Trick: Always ask for a bus marked “Olongapo via SCTEX”. This route bypasses the local town traffic of Pampanga and Zambales, slashing your travel time down to 2.5 to 3 hours.
  • Where to get off: Ride the bus to Harbor Point Mall

Step 2: Getting to the Nests

Because our Subic Nests are tucked deep into the protected jungle of the Ilanin Forest, getting to us requires a bit of strategy. Note that standard city jeepneys and tricycles are strictly barred from entering the Freeport Zone highways. Once you are inside the main gate or at Harbor Point Mall, you have two options to reach the forest:

  • Option A: SBFZ SUV Taxis (Most Reliable) Look for the official Subic Freeport SUV taxis waiting near the mall or terminal gates. Unlike Manila taxis, these are larger SUVs without meters. They operate on a fixed flat-rate matrix depending on your destination zone. Expect to pay around ₱500 to ₱700 to go into the housing areas. Always confirm the flat rate with the driver before loading your bags.
  • Option B: Book a Grab Grab operates smoothly inside the Subic Bay Freeport Zone! Open your Grab app while at Harbor Point or the main gate, pin your specific Nest location, and a ride-hailing vehicle will bring you straight to our doorstep.

Where is the nearest beach?

Depending on which Nest you are waking up in, the ocean is either a quick drive or right outside your door:

  • If you are at Baia Nest (Gubat, Sorsogon): The sand is practically between your toes! You are located directly across the street from Buenavista Beach, a pristine, sleepy stretch of coast famous for its local surf culture.
  • If you are at our Subic Nests (Rainforest / Sangley): While you are tucked deep inside the peaceful jungle canopy, the ocean is only a 5 to 25-minute drive down the road to the crystal-clear waters of All-Hands Beach, Camayan Beach or Adventure Beach.
  • If you are at MiraNamin Nest (Quezon City): While Metro Manila doesn’t have ocean waves, you won’t miss the water—you have exclusive access to your own private indoor saltwater plunge pool right inside the property!
